Sad News on the GPT Front

Fraud is running rampant through the GPT world, and it's causing the closure of some really good sites. Members using fraudulent information or doing the same offers over and over again, site owners using fraudulent practices in their sites, and advertisers not paying out on time is reeking havoc in the industry.

I'm sad to announce that one of the sites I belong to is closing it's doors at the end of this month. The owner of SpareStash has announced that she will be closing the site down. She just can't find it profitable any longer.

If you have a balance pending there, make sure you cashout by the end of the day on November 30th. All offers will be deactivated December 1st.

This brings me to another point. It is EXTREMELY important that if you do participate in GPT sites, that you use VALID, CURRENT information when filling out the offers. It only takes one or two to ruin it for the rest of us. The advertisers are getting pretty tired of people taking advantage of the system and they aren't going to pay if you are caught. Using GPT sites is an easy, fun way to make some extra cash. Frauding GPT sites only makes it harder.

Be honest. There's no room for greed in this community!

Latest News On The GPT Front

Fraud is becoming a very serious problem in the GPT world. It has gotten so out of hand that site admins now have a forum where they post anyone that has committed fraud on their site so other site owners can be aware of that person. It might sound kind of drastic, but the people who do this are ruining it for the honest ones.

The most rampant fraud committed is the use of false information to complete offers. You MUST use valid, current information when completing these offers. The advertisers are looking for legitimate prospects, and they expect valid information. After all, they're paying for it. Unfortunately, this is starting to include the use of such services as PrivatePhone and similar services. PrivatePhone is discontinuing its free services soon. Any use of this or similar services is being discouraged.

I know of many people that use prepaid debit cards or gift accounts for credit card offers. This too, is being discouraged, and many sites now have it in their Terms of Service that their use is prohibited.

My last little tidbit of information concerns the duplication of offers. Now, we all know that doing an offer that has approved over and over for credit is not allowed. But from now on, even if an offer is denied or doesn't approve the first time, it will not be returned to your list of offers to be completed again. Advertisers consider redoing an offer until it approves to be fraud. All offers that don't approve the first time will not be available again. Making sure to keep track of the offers you've done is very, very important. If you're caught doing the same offer over and over again on different sites, you'll be banned, the money you've earned will be forfeited, and your username will be posted for all site owners to see.

An Alternative To PrivatePhone

Brring! Get Calls, Get Cash!

Brring! isn't a voice mailbox, but it does earn you money!

Brring! gives you a free phone number. When someone calls that number, they hear a short, 10 second ad. After they hear the ad, they are forwarded to your personal number and connected to you, and you get paid! It's that easy!

You get paid $1.00 for your first 10 calls, then $.05 a call after that. You'll also get $1.00 for every person that signs up under you. Earn up to $.75 for each profile you complete for each of your friends that call you on your Brring! number.

Personalize the Brring! experience! Select specialized ads for certain friends according to their likes and dislikes. Don't want your boss to hear the ads? Not a problem. Just have him call you directly on your personal number.

This is an easy, simple way to make a little extra money. It's free, so why not try it today?! Click here!

PrivatePhone Service To Be Disconnected

As of December 15, 2007, the PrivatePhone service offered by NetZero will no longer be available. NetZero has made special arrangements with Packet8 for current PrivatePhone customers to transfer their number to Packet8 Freedom Unlimited Service for $19.99 a month, if you so desire.

For more information on the subject click here.

There are other voice mailbox services out there that are free, but I'm going to have to do a little more research before I can recommend any of them.

Deer Crossing!

OK, so late Saturday night, I hit a deer on my way to take my son's girlfriend home. We're in my little 1996 Ford Aspire. It's a work car, lots of miles, a previous dent on the driver's side front fender from another deer attack a couple of years ago. I'm a machinist, and I'm not the cleanest guy in the world when I get done with work, so this car is a "beater" car. A car that I don't have to worry about being dirty in, or crashing into deer in.
My son on the other hand, isn't so laid back about the car. He's a newly licensed (learner's permit) driver who was embarrassed enough already just having to drive this car. Now, with a dent in the side, a new dent in the hood, and a missing grill, he's, let's just say, less than thrilled.
We do have another "good" car to drive, but the Aspire is a standard shift car, and I want him to learn to drive that. Whether he actually owns a car that is stick, I think it's important that he know. Having said that, he's actually doing pretty good. I've only gotten whiplash a couple of times, and that seems to be getting better. I think he's actually starting to enjoy driving a manual car.
As for the deer we hit, I really wanted to take it home for the meat. I called the sheriff's department, but by the time they got there to tag it for me, it had run off. I think it had a broken leg, but apparently it wasn't enough to keep it down. The officer used his flashlight and gun to look around the edge of the woods a bit, but it was gone. So much for that!
Anyway, I'm on a mad search for a new hood and fender for the car. I wouldn't want the kid to be embarrassed any more, God forbid! I've got to get on the phone and start calling a couple of junkyards in the area.
Just a little plug here for my GPT sites: The money I make on these sites this month will definitely come in handy. It's nice to know that when something comes up, such as a deer attack late at night, there's a little money to fall back on without having to dip into your checking or savings accounts.
If you're interested in making a little extra money each month, check out the list of GPT sites that I belong to in the left side bar. I'm telling you, it's easy money that comes in handy for life's little interruptions!
